Conducted a survey among vessel drivers in the Bay of Kotor and tested a e-navigation dedicated device for non-SOLAS vessels
On Saturday, October 26, 2024, a team of researchers from the ENAV project conducted a survey among vessel drivers in Perast, in order to gain insight into the evaluation of which functionalities of the Android application for e-navigation would be particularly important to them, as well as whether they would be ready to buy specially developed dedicated device for e-navigation of non-SOLAS vessels. After that, the ENAV application was installed on the Android smartphones of the vessel drivers and experimental testing of the ENAV application and the server cloud solution was performed in the area around Perast, in a scenario where there is a large number of application users in a relatively small area. A purpose-built e-navigation device for non-SOLAS vessels was also tested for the first time.
