eNAV : E-navigation for Non-SOLAS vessels

News

The paper entitled "An Approach to the Collision Detection of Non-SOLAS Vessels Using the Concept of e-Navigation", authored by Igor Stanovčić, Milutin Radonjić, Enis Kočan, Božidar Škrbić and Božo Krstajić, which was created as a result of work on the ENAV project, has been accepted for publication at the 28th international scientific and professional conference Information Technology 2024 (IT2024), which will be held in Žabljak in the period 21-24. February 2024.

The paper presents the basic concepts and challenges for the implementation of e-navigation for non-SOLAS vessels through the development of an application for smartphones, which should enable the georeferencing of these vessels, as well as the concept of cloud solutions for the collection and visualization of this data. The selected method was presented and the parameters for the detection of a possible vessel collision were defined, which will be calculated on the cloud platform and, if necessary, will alert the user application, to avoid a possible collision.

In addition to the scientific paper, the eNAV project itself will be presented at the conference in a special poster section intended for the presentation of projects.
